So You Want to Start a Heating Assistance Charity Ministry!

The apostle Paul said: "But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth love of God in him?" 1 John 3:17KJV

We give God the glory for anyone wanting to take a step that blesses others, materially, physically, and spiritually.

Our goal is to encourage the churches in this country to take back the things that we gave to the world to handle. A church doesn't have to be large in number for this to work. It first is a commandment to us that we feed and clothe along with feeding the spiritually hungry.

Try it with money donated from church folks for the winter heating season. My church is collecting $500.00 for the winter. Five(5) families will be helped with $100.00 each family to offset heating costs. In this situation, the church patrons are asked to pledge a certain amount of money - let's say $50.00. (It doesn't have to be this amount) This sounds like a lot of money, but if it is given at $5.00 per week, it doesn't seem all that much. Next, contact an agency in the town or city which handles these affairs. Tell them what you want to do. The agency will then supply the church with names of families on their list that need this type of assistance. These families have already been 'screened', so you know it is a real need there. Going directly to the utility companies sometimes pays off, as they are always bombarded with people that cannot afford to make the payments. Try IT!!!
