:: Benefits of being an Ordained MinisterThere are many benefits that one can possess by accquiring an ordination in any given area of ministry, whether it be pastor or other ministry position in the church. Some of these are: 1. Only an ordained minister can apply and be granted a ministerial license from the state they reside in, and/or minister in. Some states within the USA do not require this license, but some states require ministers to register with the state they reside in or minister in. Some local governments require the same. This requires a ministerial ordination. 2. Only ordained ministers and certian public officials can legally unite a man and a woman in marriage. If you hold an ordination through SWHM you will be able to perform these rites. 3. Only ordained ministers should officiate in water baptisms. 4. Often ordained ministers are called upon by local communities in an area wide emergency situation. 5. Only ordained ministers can serve as chaplains in most police forces, fire departments, hospitals, and such. 6. More and more hospitals and nursing home administrations only permit ordained ministers to visit the sick on a regular basis. 7. As an ordained minister, you will be recognized by your peers as part of the clergy. 8. As a recognized minister in your community, you will be open to resources enabling you to plant (start) a church or ministry in your area. This is harder without being an ordained minister. 9. Most federal, state, and local prison systems and correctional institutions in the USA are now requiring that everyone desiring to participate in its faith based programs become ordained. 10. As an ordained minister with SpringWell of Hope Ministries, you will have access to our minister's area of our web site (only for ministers ordained through us). This web site has many features including forums, chat room, private messaging, special news from SpringWell, email account portal, etc. This site is free for ministers. It is just a new web site and improvements will come as the numbers grows. 11. After becoming an active minister ordained through SpringWell of Hope you may want your name, address, and ministry status to appear on our minister roster page. You may wish for us to display your email address and/or your web site address next to your name. You will be an independant minister and will be able to serve in any capacity you wish, whether it be as an elder in your local church, pastor your own church, or serve in a civil capacity. You may wish to ask to relocate to our local church and serve in a capacity under our local covering to hone your abilities until you are ready for what God has called you into. There are many other benefits not mentioned. InstructionsIf you have any questions about becoming ordained just email them to our Ministerial Staff. In your email subject line put these words: "ordination info please". You may also go to the Request Info Form to request more information about becoming ordained.
